This page explains what the Plans? app stores about you, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is not legal advice.
What we collect
Your account: first name, email and a securely hashed password. Your profile: where you’re based, your interests and a profile photo if you add one. What you do in the app: plans you create or join, messages you send in plan chats, reports you file, and when you last opened each plan chat (so we can show unread messages).
Who can see what
Other members see your first name, profile photo, the plans you host or join, and your messages in chats for plans you’re both in. Your email address is never shown to other members.
Why we use it
To run Plans?: show you plans, let the women going coordinate, show you chats and unread messages, and review reports to keep people safe. We don’t use your data for advertising and we don’t sell it.
Who processes it
Your data is stored in our database (Turso). Profile photos are stored and resized by Cloudinary. Our hosting provider runs the app. When something breaks, Sentry receives a technical error report (the page, browser and error, not your messages or password) so we can fix it. We don’t use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or session recording.
Cookies and storage
A secure cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser also stores small preferences, such as whether you dismissed the install card and which pages you visited in this tab (so Back works).
Your rights
Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. You can edit your profile in the app at any time. To delete your account or ask a question, contact us using the details on our website.
How long we keep it
While your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account we remove your profile and photo; messages already sent in a plan chat may be kept, without your name, so the conversation still makes sense to the others in it.
